Free Fatty Acids

Free fatty acids are, essentially, the "organic" part of a soap molecule. (Refer to "Chemistry of Soap Making" for further explanation.)

Soaper Scentral offers a range of commercial quality FFAs suitable for crafters to incorporate into their own soap, lotion or polish formulations.

Oleic Acid

 A clear, light coloured oleic acid suitable for formulation of soft soaps as well as a number of other products (refer to the Recipes area for a wide range of oleic acid formulations). This acid forms the base of many products, including skin lotions, furniture and automotive polishes.

Stearic Acid (aka - Stearine)

A triple pressed, light coloured stearic acid suitable for formulation of hard soaps as well as a number of other products (refer to the Recipes area for a wide range of stearic acid formulations). This acid forms the base of many products, including skin lotions, furniture and automotive polishes as well as being an additive to soap formulations to harden the final product and candles to modify the wax melt properties.
