Procedure
- Commencing with the water phase
- Add to the water phase under agitation, in order :

CMC until all dissolved

Methyl Paraben while mixing

Carbopol - mix until homogeneous and no lumps are obvious

Add the remainder of the water phase components, mix and heat to 75°C
-
In a separate container :
- Add all the oil phase components together and slowly heat till melted
- Bring temperature of oil phase to 75 - 80°C
- Ensure all oil phase components are mixed
- Slowly add the oil phase to the water phase while mixing and maintaining temperature at 75 - 80°C
- When all oil phase has been added, cool and pack off
This product imparts good skin feel and has a high quality appearance at a cost effective price. The product exhibits barrier and moisturising properties which are a highly effective hydration system for most skin types. The formula also slows transdermal water loss.
